Save the Apes	INAUGURAL DRAMATISTS FESTIVAL September 14-22, 2001 The Inaugural Dramatists Festival is a series of staged readings of the best plays entered into our Annual Playwriting Contest. These readings take place in coffee houses all over Kansas City and the winning play will receive a $100 cash prize. We will also consider producing our winning plays and we have an excellent record of bringing new works to the stage. Staged readings are performed by actors under the guidance of a director, and are rehearsed before the actual event. The schedule for this year's series of readings will be announced in August and will be available here then.
