Continuing in the Greek tradition of theatrical performances beginning at sunup and continuing throughout the day, Gorilla Theatre Productions presents the 12th annual Sunrise Greek Show at Wheeler Amphitheatre in Theis Park, Volker Boulevard and Oak Street.
This year's production is Aristophanes' comedy "The Clouds," the story of an old country farmer who decides to get an education to learn how to avoid his creditors. Along the way, he meets the great philosopher Socrates, and the two battle wits over the knowledge of right and wrong. The scathing lampoon of education, celebrity and politics will be presented at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22 and 29 and Sunday, June 23 and 30. Admission is free.
